AP Govt’s Deepavali gift for police personnel
Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned several welfare measures for police, including biennial health check-up facility for police personnel. According to a press release here today, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy announced incentives that included medical health check-up facility at government cost for all officers and staff of police department, grant of Rs one crore to police welfare fund every year and sanction of required funds for up-gradation of police hospital at Ameberpet in the state capital. The other sanctions were appointment of government doctor in all the District Police, City Commissionerate Head Quarters, Police Battalions and Police Training College Hospitals in various districts, the release added. The announcement was on the occasion of Police Officers Commemoration Day yesterday.
