T staff waiting for a honourable exit
Though, the Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee has ruled out the possibility of calling off the employees strike in government departments, it is reliably learnt that, behind the screens it is trying to forge a deal with the government for an honourable exit. With RTC JAC, Singareni JAC and Teachers JAC have exited from the month old stir T Employees too are eagerly looking for an honourable exit with out any collateral damage.
Though the JAC leadership is keen on participating in the talks with the government, it did not receive any call for the purpose till Wednesday. The JAC leaders are hopeful of resuming talks at least in the next 24 hours.
‘But the Telangana employees from the region were not for any sort of surrender. They are firm on continuing the strike until the declaration of Statehood came from the government,’ according to K Swamy Goud, Telangana Employees JAC leader. He said the JAC decision would depend on the kind of response it would receive from the Chief Minister.
‘We do agree that the chief minister cannot give the separate State, but nothing prevents him from discussing key issues involved in the process of considering the demand,’ he said.
