Most of the Ministers keep away from Secretariat?
Though the victory of YSR Congress candidates Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy and his mother Y.S. Vijayamma in the by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies was considered a foregone conclusion by the ruling party, its impact was reflected in the Secretariat.
Most of the Ministers kept away from the Secretariat on Friday. Another reason for the thin attendance was several Ministers were away in Ongole to attend the wedding of the son of former Minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy. Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy himself spent most part of the day in his camp office and came to Secretariat in the evening for a scheduled review meeting on Tribal Welfare.
Irrigation Minister Sudharshan Reddy and Social Welfare Minister Pithani Satyanarayana who spent a while in their chambers admitted that sympathy worked in favour of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy and Ms. Vijayamma.
