Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) To Support Konda Surekha In By-Polls

That YSR Congress party has a secret understanding with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has been the latest talk of the town, as both the parties desperately need the support of each other to decimate the Congress party in the state.

According to the reports emanating from the TRS camp, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had a talk with TRS party president K Chandrasekhara Rao on the possible by-election in Parkal assembly constituency in Warangal district in the event of disqualification of the sitting MLA Konda Surekha.

At present, Parkal is the only constituency in Telangana where the YSR Congress party has a representation and all other MLAs in the Jagan camp belong to the Seemandhra region.

Jagan is of the view that if Surekha is able to win the seat, it would help the YSR Congress party to have a footing in the Telangana region, but her victory is not possible without the support of the TRS.

Sources said the TRS also might not have much objection to supporting Surekha in Parkal, but there should be an overall understanding with Jagan party in the next elections, so that the TRS could win more seats and mount pressure on the Centre on the Telangana issue.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Thursday insisted that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu clarify his stand on the Telangana issue.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, TRS floor leader Etela Rajender said that the TDP president never had clarity with regard to demand for Telangana statehood.

It maintained a confused stand in its manifestoes, as well as in the communications that it has sent to the Centre on this issue. Therefore, he demanded that Naidu should clearly say whether he was in favour of Telangana or not.

Etala said that the people in the region have lost faith on the TDP due to its confused stand. If the TDP was serious of winning back the lost faith, then it must first clarify its stand on the statehood issue. Until then people in the region would treat the Telugu Desam as anti-Telangana party, he said.

Speaking about Naidu’s ‘Rythu Poru’ padyatra, the TRS leader also accused Naidu of shedding crocodile tears for the farmers. He said during his nine years’ tenure as the Chief Ministers, thousands of farmers committed suicide and he failed to provide support to the distressed farmers. He said that ‘Rythu Poru’ programme has been launched for votes and Naidu was not really concerned about farmers.

Etela demanded that the State Government immediately extend help to the farmers in the drought-affect areas. He said mere declaration of drought-affected mandals would not help the farmers and they need help at the ground level. He demanded that the government implement all the recommendations made by the Jayanti Ghosh Commission.

The TRS leader demanded that the government provide crop insurance, waive interest on loans, reduce the prices of seeds and fertilisers and supply quality and uninterrupted power to the farmers. He also demanded payment of ex-gratia of Rs 3 – 4 lakh to the families of farmers who committed suicide.

సకల జనుల సమ్మెలో రోజుకో రీతిలో నిరసన తెలుపుతున్న బల్దియా ఉద్యోగులు మరోసారి వినూత్న రీతిలో నిరసన తెలిపి ప్రజల మద్దతు పొందారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రితో పాటు తెలంగాణ మంత్రులు సైతం మరణించినట్లు ఈ నెల 19న డెత్‌సర్టిఫికెట్లు జారీ చేసి తెలంగాణ వ్యతిరేక శక్తులపై తమ ఆగ్రహాన్ని వెలిబుచ్చిన బల్దియా ఉద్యోగులు శుక్రవారం ముఖ్యమంత్రికి మూడొద్దుల పిట్టకు పెట్టి తెలంగాణపై తమకున్న బలమైన ఆకాంక్షతోపాటు వ్యతిరేకులపై ఆగ్రహాన్ని వ్యక్తంచేశారు.

బల్దియా జేఏసీ,తెలంగా ఎమ్మార్పీఎస్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో కార్పొరేషన్ కార్యాలయం నుంచి భారీ ర్యాలీగా తరలివచ్చిన ఉద్యోగులు ముఖ్యమంత్రి దిష్టిబొమ్మకు దహనసంస్కారాలు చేసిన ఎంజీఎం సెంటర్‌లో హిందూ సాంప్రదాయం ప్రకారం మూడొద్దుల పిట్టకు పెట్టేతతంగాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. ఎంజీఎం సెంటర్‌లో పూజారి శాస్త్రోక్తంగా మూడొద్దుల కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. పూరి, వడ, దోశ, ఇడ్లీ, మాంసం పెట్టి మూడొద్దులు చేశారు.

ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఫ్లెక్సీకి పూలమాలలు వేసి నివాళులు అర్పించారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రజల ఆకాంక్షల మేరకు కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు స్పష్టమైన ప్రకటన చేయాలని, లేనిపక్షంలో ఐదోరోజూ ఆడబిడ్డలచే ఐదొద్దుల పిట్టకు పెడతామని బల్దియా ఉద్యోగ సంఘం నేత ధర్మరాజు ప్రకటించారు. 40 రోజులుగా సకల జనుల సమ్మె జరుగుతున్నా ప్రభుత్వం స్పందించకపోవడంపై ఆయన తీవ్రంగా మండిపడ్డారు.

ఎంజీఎం సెంటర్‌లో ముఖ్యమంత్రి మూడొద్దుల పిట్టకు పెట్టే తతంగానికి ప్రజల నుంచి మద్దతు లభించింది. నాలుగుకూడళ్ల మధ్య జరుగుతున్న ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి దారిన పోయే ప్రజలు తెలంగాణ నినాదాలు చేస్తూ సంఘీభావం ప్రకటించారు. ద్విచక్రవాహనదారులు ఆగి ముఖ్యమంత్రి మూడొద్దుల కార్యక్రమం అయిపోయే అరకు అక్కడే ఉండి తెలంగాణ పై వారికున్ను బలమైన ఆకాంక్షను వ్యక్తంచేశారు. పక్కనే ఉన్న పశుసంవర్దకశాఖ ఉద్యోగులు బల్దియా ఉద్యోగుల నిరసనకు సంఘీభావం తెలిపారు.

బల్దియా ఉద్యోగులు చేసిన ఈ వినూత్న నిరసన కార్యక్రమానికి ప్రజలు స్వచ్చందంగా మద్దతు తెలపడం తెలంగాణపై ప్రజలకున్న ఆకాంక్ష మరోసారి స్పష్టమైంది.
