ముట్టడి సందర్భంగా కేయు జేఏసీ చైర్మన్ సాధుల రాజేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ మంత్రి పొన్నాల వెంటనే మళ్లీ రాజీనామా చేయడమే కాకుండా ఆమోదింప చేసుకోవాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. శాసనసభ స్పీకర్ నాదెండ్ల మనోహర్ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమకారులను అగౌరవ పరిచే లా వ్యాఖ్యానించినా పొన్నాల నోరు మెదపక పోవడం సిగ్గుచేటన్నారు. తె లంగాణ బిడ్డగా పౌరుషం చాటాల్సిన కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు సీమాం ధ్ర నేతలు అవమానించినా మిన్నగా ఉం డడం దౌర్భాగ్యమన్నారు.

అమరుల త్యాగాలను తెలంగాణ ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు కించపరుస్తున్నారని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఇకనైనా చేసిన తప్పులను సరిదిద్దుకునేలా తెలంగాణ ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు పదవులను వీడి ప్రజాక్షేత్రంలోకి రా వాలని జేఏసీ కన్వీనర్ జోరిక రమేష్ సూచించారు. లేని పక్షంలో తీవ్ర పరిణామాలుంటాయని హెచ్చరించారు. ముట్టడిలో జేఏసీ నాయకులు కొంగర కిషోర్, గుజ్జుల శ్రీనివాస్‌రెడ్డి, దామోదర్, యాకూబ్‌రెడ్డి, దామోదర్, విజయ్, రాంమోహన్, రాజేందర్, సునిల్, ప్రశాంత్ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు. పోలీసులు విద్యార్థులను అరెస్టు చేసి సుబేదారి పోలీస్‌స్టేషన్‌కు తరలించారు. జేఏసీ ముఖ్య నాయకులతో పాటు మొత్తంగా 17 మంది విద్యార్థులపై నాన్ బెయిలబుల్ కేసులను నమోదుచేశారు.

అరెస్టులను ఖండించిన జేఏసీ నాయకులు విద్యార్థులను అరెస్టు చేసి నాన్‌బెయిలబుల్ కేసులను బనాయించడాన్ని పొలిటికల్ జేఏసీ చైర్మన్ ప్రొఫెసర్ టి.పాపిరెడ్డి, టీఆర్ఎస్ జిల్లా కన్వీనర్ పెద్ది సుదర్శన్‌రెడ్డి, న్యాయవాదుల జే ఏసీ నాయకులు రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్, సహోదర్‌రెడ్డి, నబీ తదితరులు ఖండించారు. విద్యార్థుల అరెస్టు సమాచారం తెలుసుకున్న నాయకులు సుబేదారి పోలీస్‌స్టేషన్‌కు తరలారు.

పోలీసుల వైఖరిపై నిరసన తెలిపారు. విద్యార్థులు శాంతియుతంగా ధర్నా చేస్తుంటే పోలీసులే రెచ్చగొట్టే విధంగా వ్యవహరించారని ఆరోపించారు. విద్యార్థుల అరెస్టుపై జిల్లా మం త్రులు పొన్నాల లక్ష్మ య్య, బస్వరాజు సారయ్యలు వివరణ ఇవ్వాలని డిమాం డ్ చేశారు. అరెస్టు చేసిన విద్యార్థులను వెంటనే విడుదల చేయాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. సుబేదారిలో ఉన్న విద్యార్థులను జఫర్‌గఢ్, ధర్మసాగర్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లకు తరలించినట్లు తెలిసింది.
